[Posted Thursday April 1, 2010, at 6:55 p.m.] Yesterday, March 31, State Representative Jenn Coffey achieved a legislative victory when the New Hampshire state senate voted UNANIMOUSLY to approve her Knife Rights bill, HB1665. Rep. Coffey and Senator Bob Letourneau, who helped her shepherd it through the senate, are both Advisors of Pro-Gun New Hampshire. Further, the New Hampshire Wildlife Federation has voted to award Rep. Coffey with its "Friend of the Federation Award," to be presented at its annual banquet on April 10. From the NHWF e-newsletter:
The New Hampshire Wildlife Federation at its 28th Annual Conservation Banquet will present to New Hampshire State Representative Jennifer Coffey the organization's prestigious "Friend of the Federation Award." This award is being given to Representative Coffey for her outstanding advocacy on behalf of the interests of all sportsmen and women across the State, which has distinguished her from other members of the New Hampshire legislature.
The Federation's Conservation Banquet will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at the Executive Court in Manchester, New Hampshire. The Banquet begins at 5:00 pm with a Social Hour, with dinner following at 6:00 pm.The New Hampshire Wildlife Federation's mission is to be the leading advocate for the promotion and protection of hunting, fishing and trapping as well as the conservation of fish and wildlife habitat in New Hampshire. Founded in 1933, NHWF is one of the oldest conservation organizations in the state.
